Cancer Prevention Month

February is cancer prevention month.

As a freelance food photographer, I have been lucky enough to be paired up with an incredible company like the American Institute for Cancer Research, where I prepare and photograph their rigorously tested, weekly Health e-Recipes.  AICR offers, not only information on cancer research, but also ways and ideas for healthy eating and living.  I myself, am constantly learning from AICR’s research on foods that fight cancer (such as garlic and tomatoes), nutrition information, and other useful tools to enjoy a more healthy lifestyle.

The American Institute for Cancer Research was formed in 1982 to develop better research on the diet-cancer prevention debate and to explore how the effects of food, nutrition, physical activity, and body weight are playing a roll in cancer prevention and survival.  AICR offers tools, information, and recommendations to reduce your risk of cancer, as well as, healthy recipes with an in depth look at how certain ingredients play their own role in cancer prevention and cancer survival aids.  Here are a few of my favorite recipes developed by AICR.
