Hey all! I’m Heather Victoria. I am a freelance photographer in the DC metro area with a specialty in food photography. I grew up in Virginia and have always had an artistic side to myself and enjoyed soaking up the world around me. I love food…everything about it. From learning about how ingredients work together, to tasting new and exotic foods and dishes, to growing my own backyard produce. Food is fun! I want to learn as much as I can about food, culturally diverse recipes and techniques; I just want to play with my food. Now I am taking my photography and my abilities to a whole new level. I have a passion for making art, exploring new things, creating memories, and preserving my experiences with my camera.
My main goal with the blog is to create new and exciting images while exploring food. Basically, I want to push myself and my creativity to see how far I can take myself with my photography. I will be exploring food, scouting for unique people and places, and just trying to make great images with my camera while trying different techniques. Maybe I will even create a recipe or two.
While my specialty is food photography, my mind and eyes are always wandering for anything that just sparks my interest. I already have a few self-assignments in mind, as well as a list of places to go and new things that I have always wanted to attempt. A few things on my list are: night photography, travel, creative beauty, bokeh, nature, and artistic composites…the ideas are endless.
